When it comes to International Transfers, accuracy and attention to detail are crucial. However, there may be instances where you realize the need to make changes to a submitted transfer. In this article, we will provide you with important insights into the process of editing submitted International Transfers, helping you navigate potential challenges and manage changes effectively.

Can Drafter Edit Submitted International Transfer?

Once an International Transfer has been submitted (read the steps here), it is important to note that editing the transaction becomes restricted. The reason behind this limitation lies in the dynamic nature of currency exchange rates and the need to maintain the integrity of the transfer process. Once a transfer has been submitted, it undergoes a series of approvals and undergoes processing, making any modifications challenging.

However, if the Approver rejects your submitted International Transfer, your transaction is canceled and you can recreate the transaction. The reasons for rejection that the Approver put when rejecting your International Transfer allows you to update the information before recreating the transfer. This step ensures that the recreated transfer aligns with the desired requirements and can proceed smoothly through the approval process again.

Can Drafter Cancel Submitted International Transfer?

As a Drafter, it's important to note that you can cancel a submitted International Transfer, but only within a specific timeframe. The cancellation window remains open until the Releaser releases the funds for the transfer. As long as the status of your transaction is still “Pending Approval”, you are still able to cancel the request. It's crucial to act promptly if you wish to cancel a transaction, as once the funds are released, cancellation becomes no longer possible.
